Baby (primary) teeth are important to your child’s healthy development. Besides obviously being important for chewing; primary teeth aid in development of the jaw bone, muscles of chewing and speech. Primary teeth also hold space for the adult teeth that will eventually replace them, guiding them into the correct position. Lastly, it is of outmost importance to maintain healthy primary teeth so they do not negatively impact the development of the permanent teeth replacing them.
