Your child’s first dental visit should be around 1 year of age when their first teeth begin to erupt. The purpose of the visit is two-fold: fostering a positive relationship between your child and the dental team & addressing any concerns you as a parent may have. These visits usually include discussions about fluoride, oral hygiene, parental cavity history, transmission of cavity causing bacteria and nutrition.
